Anthony Cordeiro art

I am a self taught painter with a life long love of color. I am truly in love with how color affects color and how it creates a feeling within. I am a colorist at heart with a strong graphic design influence. with all my work I strive for full saturation of color. To achieve this goal I will paint many thin layers of each color so the brushstrokes are barely seen and creating that desired full saturation of color.  

My newest collection; Geometric abstractions in metallic acrylic paint focus on the effects of color, form and scale; creating a manipulated perception of the two dimensional plane. The companion collection is the painters rag abstract paintings which are my t-shirts that i wipe my brushes on. i begin these without any intensions and once complete i then cut the t-shirts and adhere them to deep wood panels giving them a new life.
